So, we finally begin the conquest of the Promise Land with an attack on Jericho....Or, do we? What kind of miliary campaign starts with marching in circles? The answer? One that is obedient to Yahweh and His guidance!
In an act of miraculous power, the Israelites walked across dry ground and now stand at the foot of Jericho. Time to attack! Yet God says, "Wait." God asks His people to consecrate themselves for the Passover meal, all before moving into battle, while sitting in the shadow of Jericho's walls! We, too, must place faithfulness above vision, worship above practicality, and God above our kingdoms of self.
Israel has experienced another impossible water crossing by walking on dry ground. God commands 12 stones to be taken from the riverbed right where the Ark was held by the priests. The stones are to be stacked on the west side of the Jordan to help future generations remember what God has done. We too must remember what God has done.
Finally... finally... after 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, the Israelites stood at the threshold of the land God had promised Abraham over 400 years before, and which they'd been poised to enter four decades earlier. All that stood between them and "the land of milk and honey" was the Jordan River... at flood stage.

We conclude our journey through Revelation with a powerful vision of God making "all things new." We'll explore the magnificent reality of a new heaven and earth, where God Himself dwells with His people, bringing eternal peace, comfort, and joy.
In Revelation 19 and 20 we witness the dramatic return of Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, who brings justice and final victory against evil. Together, we will unpack the events of His final war, His sovereign reign during the millennium, His ultimate defeat of Satan, and the reality of the final judgment before the Great White Throne. Be encouraged and challenged as we see that history is moving decisively toward a day when Christ's victory is complete, justice is perfectly fulfilled, and the new eternal realities are established.
The purpose of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is not to give you a detailed timeline for the future, but to give you a way to see the world. Revelation offers insight, hope and direction.
